Follow every bill from source to approved entry.
LedgerBeaver keeps the invoice, vendor, purchase order, receipt evidence, proposed coding and approval decision in one review path. Your team sees what matched, what did not, and what still needs judgment before a supported entry reaches the books.

A controlled path to the books
Each stage keeps the source, the current proposal and the responsible person clear. Exceptions remain open until someone resolves them.
Check the source before the accounting
Bring in a bill through the supported intake path. LedgerBeaver checks for duplicate signals and keeps the source document attached to the review. When a purchase order applies, compare the invoice with the order and the receipt or service evidence. Missing or conflicting evidence stays visible as an exception.
Correct, route and approve
Review proposed coding, correct it without losing the earlier revision, and send the exact work to the right approver. A changed proposal requires a current decision. Source text, a connected agent, and the person who prepared the bill do not silently become approval authority.
Record the result, then reconcile payment
In supported posting workflows, the approved accounting result produces a balanced entry with its evidence trail. LedgerBeaver does not send the vendor's money. Complete the transfer through your bank, then match the bank evidence to the recorded payment.
Accounts payable questions
Clear boundaries keep a useful review aid from becoming unapproved accounting authority.
What happens when a bill does not match the purchase order or receipt?
The exception stays open for review. A mismatch is evidence to investigate, not permission to approve or post.
Can connected AI approve a bill?
No. It can read or prepare supported work within its current scope. The required human approval remains a separate decision on the exact proposal.
Does LedgerBeaver pay the vendor?
No. Your team completes the transfer through the bank and uses LedgerBeaver to retain the approval, accounting record, and reconciliation evidence.
