Connect a compatible AI
to your books.

Choose the AI client you already use, authorize your LedgerBeaver workspace, then start with a safe read-only finance task. You stay in control of workspace access and every governed action.

The connection follows your selected company, role and permissions. Required human approval remains separate, and access can be revoked. Read how connected AI works in LedgerBeaver, AI & Data Privacy and Data & Compliance before connecting.

Choose a client. Authorize a workspace. Start safely.

Connect AI is the source of truth for each client’s current setup. Browser instructions for ChatGPT and Claude remain below for quick reference.

Create your account

Start in LedgerBeaver before opening your AI provider.

Choose a client and authorize

Use Connect AI for the current provider-specific path.

Permission starts narrow. LedgerBeaver OAuth starts read-only. When a workflow needs changes, request read and write on the LedgerBeaver authorization screen and choose the workspace. Your role and workflow policies still enforce approvals.

You

Use LedgerBeaver to confirm which company workspace I can access. Then give me a read-only summary of overdue receivables, bills due in the next 14 days, and unreconciled bank activity. Do not create, edit, approve, pay, or post anything.

AI + LedgerBeaver

Illustrative response: I can access Northstar Studio. Read-only summary: 3 overdue invoices totaling $12,480; 5 bills totaling $8,320 are due within 14 days; and 7 bank transactions need reconciliation. No records were changed.

You, next

Review the $2,400 Cedar Advisory bill. Explain the coding rationale, propose the GL account and dimensions, and then stop for my approval. Do not edit or post the bill.

AI + LedgerBeaver

Illustrative response: Proposed coding: 6200 Professional Services, Operations department, no project. Rationale: the invoice describes advisory work and matches your prior approved coding for this vendor. Proposed entry: debit Professional Services $2,400; credit Accounts Payable $2,400. I have not changed or posted the bill. Review this suggestion before authorizing changes.
